Two rows of bold chevron zigzag. Then a wide diamond grid filling the center, each lozenge hand-knotted into the pile row by row. A small dot border closes the bottom, and long hand-knotted cream fringe finishes each end. Down the center of the rug, a faint vertical loom seam tells you everything you need to know about how this was made: on a traditional Moroccan loom, by hand, the way it has been done in the Atlas Mountains for generations.

The pile is deep. Somewhere around two inches of tousled, cloud-soft wool that shifts slightly under your feet and catches light differently depending on where you stand.
